According to documents obtained by Page Six, the rapper's chief financial officer, Hussain Lalani, filed official paperwork under the name Ye Ye.
This follows his previous legal name change to Ye West, which had been used in earlier business documents.
West's various businesses, including his Yeezy Apparel, Yeezy Record Label, LLC, and Getting Out Our Dreams Inc., all now list "Ye Ye" as the manager or member name on their official records.
What is Kanye West's new name?
Despite this shift, Kanye, who has been publicly known as Ye for years, has not yet made a public announcement on social media regarding this new name change.
On June 1, the controversial rapper, who has 24 Grammy Awards to his name, took to X to announce that he would be stepping away from his original Twitter handle, which had used his birth name, @kanyewest.
On the June 1 post, he wrote:
"Ima finally stop using the @kanyewest Twitter cause my name is Ye. Gonna start a ye account, and it is what it is."
This move follows his long-standing preference for the name "Ye," which he first announced in 2018.
At that time, Kanye shared on X that he would be going by the name Ye, stating:
"The being formally known as Kanye West. I am YE."
This change became official when he legally changed his name to Ye in 2021.
As expected, his fans have shared different opinions about this change.
@Gorilla23mp:
"This guy should be a comedian instead of a rapper."
@SamuelIse3:
"This is the only way to still get relevant and also going around with his girlfriend just to stay relevant. If not, I believe many wouldn't have remembered him anymore."
@Ezemachibueze:
"Oh, Ye Ye Ye? Sounds like Kanye’s ready to drop the ultimate remix of his own name, talk about a triple threat! This man’s out here renaming himself like he’s picking stage names for a galactic karaoke battle. Iconic, bold, and serving main character energy as always!"
@Talk2Exponent:
"Brilliant! One "Ye" clearly wasn't expressive enough. 😂😂. He should consider changing it to Yeye, which makes sense to us."
@OlarindeOlufem1:
"Midlife crisis really had it tough on Kanye. He doesn't even understand himself anymore."
Did Kanye West want kids with Kim?
In a recent interview, the rapper opened up about various subjects, including his past relationship with Kim Kardashian.
Kanye shared that he never initially wanted children with Kim, admitting that it was his fault.
He revealed that after just two months of dating, he realised he couldn’t envision a future with kids.

Despite this, the couple went on to have four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, before their divorce in 2022.
