Kenya vs Chad preview
Benni McCarthy's team produced a lacklustre display in their first game on Saturday, June 7, in their friendly against the 177th-ranked Chad. They were held to a barren draw in the first game.
McCarthy will now be looking for a win in the second game on Tuesday, June 10. The South African has not won a game as Harambee Stars coach.

The former Manchester United coach has managed three games, lost one and drawn two. Kenya are preparing for the 2025 Africa Nations Championships (CHAN), which they will co-host alongside Uganda and Tanzania.
The match will be played at Stade de Marrakech in Morocco at 8 pm East African Time (EAT).
“It’s our first match together for most of these players so you could see there is still a bit, we need to understand each other better but when you dominate a match like this, then you have to be very disappointed that you did not win or did not score goals,” McCarthy said to FKF Media.
Kenya vs Chad team news
William Lenkupae was guilty of missing many high-profile chances and will be keen on redeeming himself this time.
McCarthy called up only four foreign-based players, including Lenkupae, who scored a last-gasp goal in McCarthy's first match in charge against the Gambia.
Brian Bwire should start in goal again. Daniel Sakari, South Africa-based Brian Mandela, Abud Omar, and Alphonce Omija will likely start again at the back.
In midfield, Lenkupae, Alpha Onyango, and Brian Musa started on Saturday, and it remains to be seen if McCarthy will rotate.
Adam Wilson, Boniface Muchiri, and Moses Shumah are expected to lead the attack again.
Some of the biggest misses are Mohamed Bajaber, who withdrew after sustaining a thigh injury.
“It is something for us to go back and work on. We did not lose the match but for me, the fact that you don’t win a match like this is so destroying,” McCarthy added.

They have lost all six of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The last competitive match Chad won was the preliminary round of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Mauritius.
Kenya are 111th in the world and have never faced the Central African team before the first game on Saturday.
Harambee Stars' confirmed line-up vs Chad
McCarthy made a raft of changes for the second tie, bringing in Bandari goalkeeper Farouk Shikhalo for Brian Bwire in goal.
In defence, Mohamed Siraj and Gor Mahia's Sylvester Owino will play in the middle as Swaleh Pamba and AFC Leopards' Lewis Esambe Bandi operate as the fullbacks.
Gor Mahia's trio of Alpha Onyango, Austine Odhiambo and Ben Stanley Omondi will start in midfield. Only Onyango started the last game, with the other two coming from the bench.
Lenkupae has surprisingly retained his place in the starting XI while David Sakwa and Emmanuel Osoro are in from the start this time.
Why Wanyama left Harambee Stars
Earlier, TUKO.co.ke reported on McDonald Mariga explaining why Victor Wanyama left Harambee Stars in 2021.
The FKF vice-president appeared to blame the fans for pushing his brother to early retirement from international duty.
Wanyama was recalled to the team for the Chad friendly matches but withdrew due to personal reasons.
Martin Moses, the head of the department for sports, contributed to this article by adding Harambee Stars' confirmed line-up.
