A huge chunk of the money comes from the new broadcast deal worth £6.7 billion (KSh 1 trillion) across four seasons. Whoever returns to the Premier League will get a share of the broadcast revenue.
The Blades still receive parachute payments from their time in the English top flight, but it will stop if they get promoted. Moreover, the winner will get commercial fees, facility fees and merit payments. In case of relegation, they will be entitled to parachute payments.
Commercial fees are payments generated from sponsorships and partnerships, facility fees come from playing matches at specific venues, and merit payments are awarded based on league performance.
Both teams will also receive a share of gate revenue from Wembley.
This year, the playoff winner will earn a minimum of £200 million (KSh 35 billion), while last year's winner, Southampton, earned at least £140 million (KSh 24 billion). In 2021, 2022, and 2023, the winner pocketed at least £170 million (KSh 30 billion), per BBC Sport.
