Did Sudi threaten to impeach Gachagua again?

While speaking on Friday, June 6, during the Kapseret Constituency Economic Empowerment, Sudi called out Gachagua for always speaking ill about President William Ruto.

He further warned Gachagua that the Kenya Kwanza government would impeach him for a second time in the Mt. Kenya region, his stronghold, if he didn't stop talking about the president.

"We are going to impeach you again in Mt. Kenya if you continue disrespecting Ruto. Your work is to talk about William Ruto. When you go to sleep and when you wake up, all you talk about is William Ruto. Has he become your wife? Sudi questioned.

He further claimed Gachagua served as the deputy president for two years, yet there is no substantial project he has initiated.

Sudi also took the opportunity to clap back at Gachagua for claiming that the Kenya Kwanza government has sidelined the people of Mt. Kenya.

"He is speaking from Murang'a, saying that the motorbikes and vehicles we are donating here are from Ruto. Aren't we equally capable men? We are delivering to our people. You have served in the government for two years, and you failed to make friends. You spoke every day from Mt. Kenya, show us even a toilet that you constructed in the region," Sudi dared Gachagua.

The outspoken MP further stated that the Kenya Kwanza government will extend its courtesy to the Mt. Kenya region and initiate development projects, unlike Gachagua, who is always criticising the regime.

"We are going to walk with the people of Mt. Kenya, and we won't walk with empty hands like you," Sudi stated.

Sudi's words followed Gachagua's remarks during a political rally in Makueni.

The Democracy for Citizens party leader claimed that Ruto initiated less important development projects in Mt. Kenya and Eastern regions, while prioritising significant development projects in the Rift Valley region.

"Here in Ukambani and our home in Mt. Kenya, they send someone to give people KSh 500 so they can go drink alcohol and beans. In his home region, he sends someone to deliver boda bodas, posho mills, sewing machines and milk containers. You can see that all those things are important," Gachagua said.

Sudi responds to Gachagua, calling him 'goon'

In a separate incident, Sudi slammed Gachagua over his remarks following a fundraiser held at the Kiambu church.

The Kapseret MP expressed his disappointment with the former DP's remarks, which came after he and Deputy President Kithure Kindiki led a fundraiser at church in Githunguri.

Gachagua had initially claimed that Sudi and the people who accompanied him to the fundraiser were goons who had been hired to keep the congregants from focusing on the government's shortcomings.
