The former Attorney General has demanded the president's immediate resignation, accusing him of failing Kenyans with repeated dishonesty and disregard for constitutional values.
Why should Ruto resign
In a hard-hitting interview on Spice FM on Thursday, May 15, Muturi, a seasoned political figure and former Speaker of the National Assembly, tore into the Kenya Kwanza government.

Muturi claimed that Ruto had betrayed the trust of millions of Kenyans who voted him into office in 2022.
The criticism comes just months after Muturi was shown the door from the Cabinet, a move widely seen as a purge of dissenting voices within the ruling administration.
Visibly unwavering in his stance, Muturi did not mince his words as he accused Ruto of surrounding himself with sycophants while ignoring the plight and voices of ordinary Kenyans.
According to Muturi, the president's public declarations have often contradicted reality, leading him to conclude that the head of state is no longer fit to occupy the country's highest office.
"I would advise William Ruto to do the honourable thing, please, Mr President, resign. You are unfit to be in that office. You have become an incorrigible liar. Kenyans know it from all walks of life. It is very hurting, it is very hurting for citizens to see their president telling lies in broad daylight.
It annoys, and I hope he listens, but unfortunately, he has decided to surround himself with praise singers, quote poets and jesters, so I don't think he hears that. But my advice to him, as a parting shot, Mr President, please do the honourable thing, resign today," Muturi stated
How should Kenyan MPs tame Ruto
Muturi further delved into matters of constitutional importance, pointing to recent incidents of abductions and alleged state complicity.
He argued that by failing to take decisive action against individuals involved in these illegal activities despite having alluded to knowledge of their return, Ruto had violated the Constitution and lost moral authority.

The now opposition-allied politician questioned how abducted individuals could be returned without accountability, suggesting that the president's inaction may point to a deeper complicity.
"There is no reason why Parliament should not invoke its powers under Article 145 and initiate impeachment proceedings against the President. By his own admission, individuals have been abducted and later returned. This is a clear violation of the Constitution. Who facilitated their return, and under whose authority? The question then becomes: if you know, why haven’t you acted, and if you haven’t acted, what does that say about your complicity," Muturi argued.
Why should Muturi be arrested
Elsewhere, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen called for an investigation into Muturi over the alleged mishandling of government documents.
Murkomen accused Muturi of storing sensitive state documents in his personal email, which he described as a breach of confidentiality protocols.
He urged investigative agencies, including the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), to probe Muturi's actions, suggesting that such conduct could be criminal in other jurisdictions.
However, in response, Muturi claimed Murkomen was "still young and excited with power".
According to the former Attorney General, there is no law that prohibits a cabinet secretary or any state officer from exposing corruption and shady deals in government.
He maintained that he had no apology to offer for the remarks he made regarding corruption and inefficiencies in Ruto's government, arguing they were all factual.
