The family of Amanda Mutheu, the little girl who was allegedly pushed from a balcony by her uncle, is preparing for her burial in Kitui county.

The five-year-old met her untimely death at Jacaranda Gardens Apartments in Roysambu, Nairobi county, on the night of Wednesday, June 11.

Her uncle, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, pushed his young niece, leading to her death.

Friends and family gathered on Friday morning, June 20, for the body viewing of the young actress ahead of her burial.

“A heartbreaking scene unfolded as the mother wept over the body of baby Amanda Mutheu,” read a Facebook post.

Family and friends arrived at the mortuary to view Amanda’s body as they prepared for her final send-off.

A sombre mood and cloud of heaviness filled the air as they continued to struggle with the devastating reality of the young actress's death.

They sang a touching worship song, preparing their hearts for the next part of the program.

A doctor addressed the mourners as they quietly sat on the cold benches in the chilly morning, listening intently.

Afterwards, they were given another opportunity to view the body, coming face to face with the painful truth.

It was an emotional moment, with tears flowing freely down their cheeks as they looked upon Amanda’s lifeless form.

Amanda's mum, Ann Syovinya, was escorted once again by several women, breaking down in tears as she viewed her daughter's body.

She was overwhelmed with grief, and the women around her offered comfort during her difficult moment.

After viewing her daughter briefly, Syovinya was gently led away, crying uncontrollably.

Amanda Mutheu's sister gives heartfelt tribute

During the burial ceremony, the family members gave moving tributes with tears in their eyes, as they said their goodbyes to little Amanda.

A tribute from her sister indicated that Amanda was a joy to her and her best friend.

The bereaved sister could not complete reading her tribute, and she was helped by a family member.

"I would always wake up to a beautiful smiling girl, waking me up and asking me how I had slept. She would always find a way to light a spark in my heart, even if I was in my darkest moment. Her death happened in a flash, and I did not even believe it. Amanda brought peace to my heart when I needed it most," part of her tribute read.

She said she felt as if her world was coming to an end when she got the news of Amanda's death.

Amanda's security guard eulogises little girl

In another account, a security guard at Jacaranda estate who witnessed the traumatic incident praised Amanda as a bright child.

Peter Ijono described Amanda as an intelligent and confident girl, loved by many for her sweet nature.

He recounted his desperate attempt to save the five-year-old from her intoxicated uncle, but sadly, it was in vain.

Amanda, who had risen to fame early in life by sharing platforms with comedian Eric Omondi and musician Willy Paul, will be dearly missed.
