1. Nicholas Koskei: How former UN employee lured wife to romantic getaway in Naivasha to kill her
On July 8, 2017, Nicholas Koskei checked into the Jacaranda Elementaita Lodge with his wife, Rhoda Mumbi.

Three days before, the former UN employee had paid a KSh 3000 deposit for a room with a bathtub. At the time, he insisted that his wife loved baths.
The events that followed showed that there was more than what met the eye on the evening they checked into the getaway, which ended in Rhoda's death.

2. Eldoret teacher celebrates Australia skilled visa approval with family, cuts cake
A teacher from Eldoret, identified as Mercy, was granted a visa to travel and start working in Australia. She will be a permanent resident.
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Chebet said that she had been hired by the Teachers Service Commission for two years, and the new job was a dream come true.
Additionally, she shared her journey with the application process and encouraged people who are aspiring to be teachers there to apply.

3. Chats from Central Police Station's WhatsApp group emerge after officer's arrest
Kenyans online reacted to leaked WhatsApp chats where the Central Police Station’s internal group members shared about Albert Ojwang’s death in custody.
The teacher and blogger passed away at the station, and his death sparked nationwide outrage.
According to the leaked chats on X, officers were expressing sympathy and support for James Mukhwana, who was in custody over the incident.
A cop confirmed that the chats were genuine but maintained he didn't know how they got to the public domain.

4. Albert Ojwang: Kenyans moved as video of blogger emerges after his death
Ojwang was a people person who loved engaging in community affairs such as dances.
His death after he was arrested in Homa Bay county for allegedly defaming DIG Eliud Lagat hurt his friends and family members, who remembered him with photos and videos.
A video of Ojwang enjoying himself with friends surfaced, and it sparked calls for justice as friends and colleagues celebrated his life.

5. Mzungu woman who dumped husband after falling in love with Maasai warrior in Mombasa shares regrets
Cheryl Thomasgood, a middle-aged woman from the Isle of Wight in Britain, dumped her husband and kids to settle with a handsome 6-foot Kenyan dancer.
She left a posh life in the UK to live in Kenya, and eventually had a child with Daniel Lakimencho, with whom she lived in a manyatta.
Lakimencho sadly changed when they moved to the UK and became obsessed with money.

Emerging WhatsApp chats show blogger's last comments
The second week of June 2025 saw Kenyans outraged after the untimely death of Ojwang in police custody.
Laymen, celebrities, and politicians were heartbroken by the death and started helping his parents with funds to lighten their load.
Meanwhile, the story of Sabella Kiprono inspired many Kenyans as she fought to achieve her dreams. She went back to KMTC for a diploma course, while she already holds a PhD and lectures at two universities.
