1. PhD holder in Microbiology returns to KMTC for diploma course
In December 2024, Sabella Kiprono graduated with a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences from KMTC and fulfilled the most burning desire of her heart.
Before the impressive feat, she had already bagged a Bachelor of Education in Science at Egerton University, majoring in Biology and Chemistry.
Later, the young woman specialised in Microbiology at Saint Louis University in the Philippines and was also a lecturer at MMUST as well as Kampala International University.

2. Kenyan lady working at Equity Bank wows netizens with impeccable English fluency
Michelle Kangai, an Equity Bank employee, impressed many Kenyans with her fluent and polished English at Equity's Q1 2025 Investor Briefing event.
In a viral video, Kangai confidently introduced herself as well as her role in the IT department. Kangai's eloquence challenged a lot of stereotypes and left her co-workers and netizens deeply impressed.

3. Nairobi YouTuber recounts losing her 3-year-old son at the mall: “Most painful experience”
Popular YouTuber Maria Nyambane explained how a moment of distraction turned into her worst nightmare as she lost her child at Village Market.
The family had gone to enjoy themselves, but their happy moments quickly spiralled into panic and fear. They later reunited happily.

4. Margaret Nduta: Photo showing woman on death row in Vietnam arriving in Kenya is doctored
This week, photos of Margaret Nduta, a 37-year-old woman who was arrested in Vietnam in 2023 for drug smuggling and sentenced to death, emerged and stunned many.
A manipulated picture of a woman at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport went viral and sparked false reports of her return.
Nduta was supposed to be executed by lethal injection, which was scheduled for March 16 but was later postponed after diplomatic intervention.

5. Drama as woman, lorry driver block government car from overlapping on road: "Wakenya wamechoka"
An unknown leader in Kenya was prevented from overtaking while other cars were in a traffic jam.
A tough woman planted herself in front of the car, while a lorry driver also blocked the road to deny it space to pass.
When another road user tried to talk to the angry crowd, they told him off and left the car stranded on the road.

Mystery, fear as CCTV captures woman tossing alleged witchcraft substance at shop
In other news, the second last week of May brought mixed fortunes for Kenyans, who also experienced some bizarre happenings, such as a woman throwing witchcraft substance in a rival's shop.
Father John Maina's death broke many hearts in Nyandarua and the rest of Kenya. An eyewitness shared how it happened, and it was also a relief after Alex Kabiti, who had gone missing, was found.
Elsewhere, kind makanga Telvin Mburu got some messages from Viola Nekesa's husband, the lady he saved, asking what he was doing with his wife.
