An elderly woman from Kakamega county is over the moon after well-wishers came through for her.

Agnes's heartbreaking story went viral online, touching the hearts of kindhearted Kenyans.
The distressed woman opened up about her life struggles, which moved many to compassion.

She said she was homeless after allegedly being driven out of her land by her in-laws, who wanted to claim the property.

"I have no place to stay. I move around from one burial to another to eat and find a place to sleep. I had seven children, but all of them are dead. I buried the lastborn by the roadside as I had no land to bury him," she told Apostle Dan Wema.
The philanthropist mobilised his followers and fans to assist the distraught elderly lady. He shared his plans to help Agnes, collaborating with netizens to transform her life.
"We will buy her a piece of land, build her a house, start up a business for her, and buy her a cow. Let us take her as our biological mother and send anything we can to change her life," he pleaded.
Wema acquires land for Agnes's new house
It was not long before Wema showed the progress by first acquiring a piece of land for Agnes, who joyfully displayed the title deed.
Next, they bought building materials in preparation for the construction of a decent house for her.
Agnes was delighted with the progress, her smile and hope restored, as she appreciated the well-wishers for their generosity.
"Thank you very much. Now I have a place to stay. I am delighted and happy. May God bless you for your labours of love. I have nothing to give you but just say thank you," she said.

Kakamega woman chased away by in-laws gets new house
In another story, a Kakamega widow who was allegedly assaulted and chased away for having a child with a disability was also over the moon after receiving a house.
The woman could not hide her joy as she knelt on the ground in gratitude to the kindhearted well-wishers.
They were led by Wema, who helped buy her land and build a lovely house for her to stay in.
