Susan Wanjiru was inconsolable following the death of her beloved daughter, Tamara Blessing Kabura.

She helplessly mourned her seven-year-old daughter, who was allegedly killed and buried by a bebabeba.

Blessing playing with police's cat

Wanjiru painfully recounted the last moments with Blessing before she went missing and was later found dead and buried in the house of her alleged killer.

"I went to the police station, and she was last seen around 6pm. She was playing with a police cat together with another child. I do not know what happened after that, because I lost my child mysteriously.

She is a kid who returns home from school on her own every day. She has been brought up in town and finds her way home from school. She is well known," the heartbroken mother said.

CCTV footage showed Blessing being accompanied by her alleged killer, Nicholas Macharia, to his home.

Blessing's heartbroken grandma speaks

Residents headed to his house following the updates, where they were greeted by a tragic and painful revelation.

They heartbreakingly found the body of the young girl buried under the bed of the alleged killer.

"We looked for the little girl in town until around 2am, together with other traders who work here. However, all that was in vain. We did not find her. The following day, we woke up very early in the morning to do the same. A certain lady who prepares tea was the one who told us she had seen the man with Blessing on their way to Majengo.

We went to the office to check the CCTV footage, and we saw Macharia walking with her," said Hellen Kuria, Blessing’s grandmother, who works at the market with her daughter Wanjiru.

Nyeri residents protest following Blessing's death

Filled with anger, the residents carried the child’s body to the Nyeri Police Station as they bitterly protested.

The residents demanded that the suspect be released to them so they could deal with him following the heinous act.

"Action should be taken by the government against the person who took my child. I know him. He is called Macharia, and he is someone I talk to. He even asked me in the morning, 'Have you found the child?' He asked me twice, knowing full well that he was the one who had her. It pains me a lot," she said.

Blow by blow account of Tamara's last moments

A close friend of Tamara's family wrote a heartwrenching post, detailing the girl's last moments and how she fell into the hands of her alleged killer.

"Macharia(the suspect) practically saw you grow up to the bubbly, beautiful girl you were. You even made him your friend, and your mother never thought that a day like today would ever be," Jacque said.
On that day, Macharia was seen walking with you early evening heading towards Majengo, and since it's not the first time for him to be seen with you, most thought the two of you had gone for errands that possibly your mother had sent you to!" she added.

Jacque said that the girl's mum was devastated after the girl went missing, not knowing that Macharia had allegedly committed the atrocity.
