Bomet Family Seeks Help to Find Man Who Disappeared after Disagreement with Wife

A family from Mogosiek Ward in Konoin, Bomet county, is appealing for help to find their relative, Kipkirui Ruto.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Kipkirui’s brother, Gideon Ruto, stated that he went missing on Wednesday, May 14.

“He left his house without anything—he didn’t carry his national identity card, phone, or any documents. He just vanished,” said Ruto.

He shared that the family has already filed a missing persons report at the police station, but there has been no progress in locating him.

Ruto added that they mobilised family members to help search for his brother, including on social media but all efforts have been in vain.

“Even his friends do not know where he is. It’s like he vanished from the face of the earth.”

Why did the Bomet man go missing?

The devastated brother also revealed that Kipkirui had a disagreement with his wife before he disappeared.

“He has never done this before. He left a note for his wife, asking her to take care of their children,” said Ruto.

The family is now appealing to anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact them on 0728616929 or report to the nearest police station.

“His home is in Mogosiek. He is brown-skinned and heavily built. Please help us find him,” added Ruto.

Netizens have expressed deep concern and sympathy following the Kipkirui's mysterious disappearance.

Many shared emotional messages, highlighting the struggles of depression, family pressure, and economic hardship, while others offered prayers and support for his safe return.

Nairobi man goes missing after disagreement with wife

In a similar case, TUKO.co.ke reported that Victor Oduor Nguka went missing in August 2024 after a disagreement with his wife.

The father of one left behind all his personal belongings, including his phone, raising concerns about his safety.

Sadly, Oduor's family confirmed that he was found dead at a mortuary in Machakos one month after his disappearance.
