Makueni family handed keys to new house
The struggling family had been without shelter after heavy rains destroyed their home in April 2024.
They finally moved into their brand-new permanent shelter owing to a philanthropist's compassion.
"The keys were handed over to the mother, of her new, fully furnished three-bedroom house in a house-opening ceremony witnessed by locals. It's a small deed of kindness, yet the family appreciates it with humility. Tunasema God bless this family," read a Facebook post by Kambaland.

The mother had been experiencing a difficult life without meaningful income and with kids to feed and take to school.
"The only house she could manage was a makeshift structure that accommodated her three children and herself. Around March this year, at the onset of the short rains, life became even more unbearable after the rains destroyed part of her makeshift house. A member of the FKM foundation got wind of the needy family and visited the mother. They offered foodstuffs and other items for basic support. The foundation patron, Festus Kasyoka Mbuva, pledged to build the family a decent house where they can call home," the post continued, showing a fulfilment of promise.

Kakamega woman gifted new house
In another story, a woman from Kakamega county who was beaten and chased away for giving birth to a child with disability jubilated after being gifted a new house.
She could not hide her joy as she knelt on the ground as a sign of appreciation to the well-wishers who bought her land and built her a house.
Dan Wema, a man of God, led the generous work that saw the woman get a new, permanent shelter.
