Anna Corrine said she loves her job but also maintains a separate social life away from work.

The financial adviser questioned whether she needs to change how she dresses during her off days.

Anna explained that one of the reasons she chose to become an entrepreneur was so she could live authentically. Losing a client, however, made her pause and question herself.

Why did Anna Corrine lose her client?

The businesswoman revealed she lost the male client because his wife saw her in beachwear during her off day and later complained.

The man then respectfully sent her a text asking to be referred to another agent, saying his wife was uncomfortable.

“Hello Anna, I hate to bother you, but I wanted to ask if you could refer me to another agent? You are very knowledgeable. I really appreciate what you put together for us. But my wife doesn’t feel comfortable with you,” read the message.

Anna agreed to refer him to another agent, but she inquired about the sudden change, only to receive a surprising explanation.

“But of course I will. I still want you to have a plan in place for your family. May I ask why she feels uncomfortable? Did I do something to offend you both?” she asked.

The client assured her that he had no issue with her and that the discomfort stemmed from his wife, who was displeased with how Anna was dressed when she saw her.

“Again, I’m sorry, Anna. I’m just telling you what she said. She saw you at a petrol station near our house wearing some kind of dress with cut-outs, she said it was blue and yellow. But it doesn’t matter. I can’t do business with you if she’s going to trip, period,” the man replied.

The entrepreneur said she admired the man's respect for his wife's feelings, but admitted she felt disappointed, especially because she always maintains professionalism when dealing with clients.

“I don’t think he was rude, but should I have to suffer because she saw me in an ankle-length cover-up while pumping petrol? Do I have to dress modestly 24/7 to please my clients? I just don’t know how to feel. Should I be mad?” she wrote.

In other news, TUKO.co.ke reported that a devastated woman took to social media seeking advice over her husband’s behaviour.

She explained that the man continues to do handiwork for their neighbour, with whom he previously had an affair, which has become a source of concern for her.

Moreover, they had a broken shower in their own home, but her husband made no effort to fix it, choosing instead to repair things at the neighbour’s house.
