Why did Moses Mwenda sponsor Jecinta Wakuru?
Touched by her determination, Mwenda agreed to sponsor Wakuru’s education at the Angaza Empowerment Training Centre, where she will study beauty and therapy.
According to a receipt seen by TUKO.co.ke and stamped by the institution, Mwenda paid the required KSh 30,000 to fully cover her fees.
“Yesterday, while I was attending a church service in Kahawa West, this young girl approached me. She told me she follows me on TikTok and has always seen me helping people. She asked for support, and I promised to stand with her,” Mwenda told TUKO.co.ke.
The businessman, through his Mwenda Empowerment Foundation, pledged to continue supporting Wakuru throughout her course.

“I am helping her because I believe we must change society. I want her to study, graduate, and in turn, help others in need,” he added.
An emotional Wakuru expressed her gratitude, sharing that she had deliberately attended the church service after seeing Mwenda’s poster online.
“I have been following Mwenda on all his platforms. When I saw he would be attending the church, I made sure to go and try my luck. Fortunately, God answered my prayers. He agreed to help me, and today, all my school requirements have been met. I am so thankful and pray that God blesses him,” she said.
The director of Victors' Children’s Home also lauded Mwenda’s generosity, describing him as a ‘victory connector’ for the orphan, and expressed hope that Wakuru would now be able to realise her dreams.
On her first day at the training centre, Wakuru offered a heartfelt prayer, thanking God for granting her the opportunity to continue her education.
