What happened in CCTV footage?
The footage captured on Sunday, June 1, at around 8.54 pm revealed a chilling and methodical break-in by a suspected thief.
The man, dressed in a cap and coat, was seen standing on the far side of a perimeter wall topped with razor fencing.
The footage showed the intruder carefully positioning himself, as if trying to avoid drawing attention, before he began his audacious attempt to steal from the Kinoo home.
Using a rope, he tied a 32-inch television and began the slow, deliberate task of dragging it up the fence.
His cautious movements suggested he was trying to avoid making any noise, likely to prevent the homeowners from hearing what was happening.
As he lifted the TV, it brushed against the wall, causing a slight crack. However, this brief setback didn't deter him; the suspect persisted with determination, lifting the television higher.
Finally, after several tense moments, he succeeded in getting the TV over the fence.
Believing his actions had gone unnoticed, he calmly walked away with the stolen item, confident that no one had seen the crime.
But the suspect failed to realise that his every move had been captured by security cameras, which exposed his actions in full detail for all to see.
The homeowner, whose house was broken into, shared the video along with the following caption:
"I hope this helps anyone living in Kinoo. There have been robberies happening in houses. The thieves come in through the back door or the balcony door. I was robbed on Sunday night. He was in my house for over 20 minutes while I was asleep. I have shared the CCTV footage that shows his face clearly," the owner's statement read.
How did Kenyans react to the robbery?

CCTV footage captures woman taking wig from store
In a separate incident, a young woman was caught on CCTV allegedly stealing from a beauty store.
Dressed in a tight yellow t-shirt and black tights, the woman appeared unaware of the cameras monitoring the store.

She was alone, which made it easier for her to take items without detection by the owner or staff. However, the store had cameras strategically placed to capture all activity.
The footage showed the woman approaching a shelf displaying mannequins with wigs. After briefly inspecting one with a brown wig, she returned the mannequin but kept the wig.
She examined it for a few seconds before walking away from the shelf. Turning her back to the camera, she quickly concealed the wig in her tights, ensuring it was hidden without creating a noticeable bulge.
