What Agnes Kagure said about Gen Z protests

The missions, including the United Kingdom, warned against police in masks using unconstitutional means to deal with protesters.

On Wednesday, June 25, Kagure urged anti-riot police officers deployed in the city to protect everyone.

Kagure, who is eyeing the Nairobi gubernatorial seat in 2027, also urged Kenyans to look out for each other amid tension over the protests.

"Today, may the police protect everyone, and may you all be your brothers' and sisters' keepers wherever you will be. The better Kenya we seek needs us alive and well," Kagure said.

Who is planning to disrupt Gen Z protests?

Her sentiments come amid claims that senior Kenyan Kwanza government officials were scheming to disrupt the planned demonstration.

An explosive exposé by KTN News Kenya revealed an alleged plot to infiltrate the peaceful Gen Z-led protests with hired goons.

The media house identified individuals suspected to be behind the scheme, warning of a coordinated plan to sabotage the memorial demonstrations.
