A Kenyan man has shown his readiness to sacrifice himself for the sake of the nation, taking a step further by sending a morgue deposit to viral mortician, Ann Mwangangi.

Ann is a Kenyan mortician who went viral after Brian Chira died in 2024. She is the one who prepared him for his final journey.
Why are Kenyans sending Ann Mwangangi cash?
Kenyans have shown their readiness to sacrifice their lives during the June 25 protests and have shared their preference to have Ann as their mortician.
They flocked to her TikTok account, requesting to make deposits ahead of the protests.
She captioned one of her videos:
"TikTokers: 'Will you be at work on June 25?'" as she wore a lab coat inside the mortuary.
She asked Kenyans to be safe, as she does not want any clients after the protests.
"Please be safe, I don't want to work."
Some Kenyans shared their preferences on how they want their bodies to be handled. One of them shocked netizens when he shared a deposit of KSh 1,000 with Ann just in case he dies.

She revealed the details of the M-Pesa messages during one of her TikTok livestreams. Ann claimed that young people are now showing interest in morgue bills and storage.
"He said he is paying mdogo mdogo for the morgue. At first, I thought it was the face powder he was paying for. My life has been hard until you guys are blo*ing my phone with calls. One person called asking 'hey Ann, can someone from Murang'a be transferred to your morgue?' I feel like Kenyans, we are so tired at this point. We are now taking these jokes too far," she said.
