Why woman named son after Ndindi Nyoro

The excited mum brought her son, Samuel Ndindi Nyoro, to the Murang’a East sub-county prize-giving ceremony, which was held at Maragi Comprehensive School.

"When Mheshimiwa launched Masomo Bora, that’s when I decided that if God were ever to bless me with a boy child, I would call him Ndindi. At the time, I didn’t have the money to take my child to secondary school. And when I got him, I sat and looked at all the problems I had gone through, and the point I had reached. Were it not for Mheshimiwa. May God bless you. I don’t even have anything else to say," she said.

Njeri, who was in a black floral dress, carried her son to the podium to meet his namesake, who was laughing at hearing there was a child bearing his name.

A constituent of Murang'a, Mustapha Harun, who attended the ceremony, told TUKO.co.ke how beautiful the moment was for both the mum and the politician.

"She said she named her son Samson Ndindi Nyoro after the MP because she was impressed by the great work he has done in her constituency," he said.

Is Ndindi performing MP

Elsewhere, Politrack Africa recently recognised Nyoro as the best-performing parliamentarian not only in Mt Kenya but in Kenya.

He was awarded at the Starleaders Awards gala at the JW Marriott Hotel, which was held on March 28.

The MP's milestone came a few weeks after he was removed from the powerful Budget and Appropriations Committee in the National Assembly.

Ndindi's removal left Kenyans wondering if there was a rift within their party and if he was pro-former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Many Kenyans condemned the move to strip him of the role he had in parliament and termed it a punishment.

Ndindi Nyoro warns of Kenyan debt

In a different report, the MP recently warned Kenyans about the concerns he had about the country's rising debt.

Ndindi noted that the government's move to secure another costly loan to finance the 2025/2026 fiscal year will dig Kenyans deeper into more debt.

He added that he does not see how, as a country, people can get out of the debt, and instead, this will only increase the cost of living.

The politician also warned the National Treasury over risky borrowing, lack of transparency, and misuse of pension funds for unprofitable infrastructure projects.
