Bongo star Diamond Platnumz has married his longtime lover Zuchu, whose real name is Zuhura Othman.

The couple tied the knot in a colourful Muslim wedding, attended by hand-picked guests.

Zuchu rocked a sparkling white wedding gown, while Diamond wore a white Muslim robe.

Their wedding photos surfaced online on Sunday, June 1.

Diamond's mum's message after son's wedding

Diamond's family members, led by his mother, Mama Dangote, whose real name is Sanura Kasimu, took to social media to congratulate her son.

"Alhamdullillah limepita salama. Hongera mwanangu Naseeb kichwa na mkeo Zuhura," Mama Dangote wrote.

Diamond's manager and Member of Parliament in Tanzania, Hamisi Shaban Taletale alias Babu Tale, also congratulated the couple on social media.

"Hongera sana Mungu akailinde ndoa yenu," he wrote.

Diamond's sister, Esma Platnumz, also congratulated her brother on his wedding.

"Karibu Chamani @diamondplatnumz," she wrote.

Following their wedding, many fans have congratulated the couple and wished them all the best in their marriage.

It should be noted that the wedding came as a surprise, as the duo didn't even promote the wedding on their social media platforms.

What Mama Dangote said about her son’s relationship

As previously reported on TUKO.co.ke, Mama Dangote dismissed rumours that her son planned to marry Zuchu.

She stated that she only knows Zuchu as her son’s employee and questioned the basis of the speculation about any romantic involvement.

Mama Dangote stated that her son would only acknowledge a wife once he had paid dowry to the woman he chose to marry.

Who is Diamond Platnumz's father?

It was known for years that Mzee Abdul Juma was the biological father of the singer.

Mzee Abdul did several media interviews, begging his Diamond to help him, disclosing he was languishing in poverty as his son lived large.

Diamond's mother came out to denounce Mzee Abdul as her son's biological father, revealing that Salum Iddi Nyange was his father. She said Mzee Abdul was Diamond's stepfather, disclosing they met when she was pregnant.

Mama Diamond revealed that sports journalist and social media influencer Ricardo Momo, whose real name is Mohamed Salum, is the Komasava hitmaker's blood brother.

Speaking about the same, the Tanzanian crooner revealed he used to believe Mzee Abdul was his father and loved him so much, until in 2000 when DJ Romy's mum told him he was not his biological father.

In a past interview in 2022, the heartbroken father said he had forgiven Diamond after denouncing him as his father.

He painfully narrated how the revelation left him heartbroken, but he had moved on and was starting a new life.

Mzee Abdul is also the father of singer Queen Darleen, who was for a long time known as Diamond's stepsister.

Is Diamond looking for second wife?

Meanwhile, the Jeje singer revealed his desire to take a second wife from Nigeria after attending Juma Jux’s wedding.

Serving as the best man at the event, Diamond joked about wanting to find a beautiful bride from West Africa.

However, netizens encouraged him to return to Zuchu following his brief relationship with Fantana on their Netflix reality show.
