It seems Tanzanian music icon Diamond Platnumz, real name Naseeb Abdul Juma, has finally lived up to his word and taken the love of his life, Zuchu, to be his wife.

List of women Diamond dated but never married

When he shot to fame back in 2010 after his Kamwambie hit. The singer then entered into a relationship with model and actress Wema Sepetu, but broke up in October 2014, after Diamond met Zari Hassan.

Diamond met the Ugandan businesswoman on a flight and started dating. In 2015, they welcomed their first child, and in December 2016, they were blessed with a second child, a son.

Their relationship hit rock bottom when the singer cheated and sired a child with socialite Hamisa Mobetto in 2017. Their relationship ended, and on February 14, Valentine's Day, 2018, Zari dumped the singer via Instagram. She shared a black rose to signify the end of their relationship.

Diamond and Hamisa's relationship didn't last long, and in 2018, they parted ways, and he moved on with Kenyan singer Tanasha Donna. Hamisa recently got married to Burkinabe professional footballer Aziz Ki.

Diamond and Tanasha welcomed their son in October 2019, months after they started dating. But in early 2020, they broke up, and Tanasha moved back to Kenya with their son.

Did Diamond marry Zuchu?

On June 1, the Komasava hitmaker took to social media to share a series of photos from what appeared to be a private wedding ceremony.

The images showed Diamond and Zuchu clad in elegant white traditional Muslim attire, with their heads modestly covered.

Several elders could also be seen officiating the occasion.

While the photos spoke volumes, Diamond’s accompanying caption left fans slightly confused, as it did not explicitly confirm that the two had tied the knot.

Instead, he cryptically spoke about having been married before.

"I know each of you has a completely different image of Diamond Platnumz and marriage, but today I just want to tell you that this Diamond Platnumz has been married before, and one day I’ll tell you how it happened," he wrote.

Adding clarity to the speculation, Wasafi, Diamond’s record label, shared heartwarming videos of the couple beaming with joy during a car ride after the event.

In one of the clips, Zuchu proudly said:

“Mume wangu. We are married,” grinning from ear to ear, while Diamond chuckled beside her.

Their union has been long anticipated. Diamond had previously announced plans to marry Zuchu before the start of Ramadan in 2025, but the wedding never took place at the time.

Later, during the wedding of fellow Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, Diamond reiterated his intentions, sparking fresh excitement among fans.

However, the repeated delays seemingly left Zuchu frustrated, as she occasionally threw subtle jabs at her now-husband through social media.

Was Zuchu hopeful Diamond would marry her?

Earlier, after attending the fifth wedding of Juma Jux and his wife Priscilla Ojo, Zuchu expressed her longing to get married.

However, she admitted she was not sure if she and Diamond would tie the knot anytime soon.

When asked about it, Diamond simply laughed off the question.
