Muthoni wa Kirumba, Betty Maina Trade Blows in Fiery Social Media Clash: "Keep Off"

Veteran Kameme FM radio host Muthoni wa Kirumba and Murang’a woman representative Betty Maina have been locked in a bitter public clash.

Why is Muthoni beefing with Maina?

The unexpected fallout began when Maina shared a cryptic post allegedly quoting a fan who questioned the difference between the maize flour brand, promoted by Muthoni and the one she personally consumes.

However, what caught the attention of many was the jab that followed, in which Maina seemed to throw shade at the radio presenter’s intentions and even dragged her mother into the scuffle.

"From a Bishop. How are you guys doing? You need to ask Wa***** what is the difference between the Kabagara she gives and what you are giving to your constituents. Ama yake inapika unleavened bread? People are watching, they know she is a jealous... who fights everyone including her mum," Betty posted.

Muthoni did not take the comments lightly. True to her feisty persona, the seasoned media personality clapped back, firmly warning the politician to keep her mother out of their feud.

"Keep off my mother. Deal with me," Muthoni fired back, lacing her response with additional unfiltered words aimed at the lawmaker.

To reinforce her point, Muthoni reposted message that Maina wrote back in 2020, where the politician publicly thanked her for helping her through a dark period in her life.

“Today I want to appreciate this beautiful soul, Muthoni Wa Kirumba aka Baby top of Canjamuka show, Kameme FM.

"One day when I had left a show she had hosted, she realised I was not happy. She dropped me at home, I had to open up to her… she helped me fix the problem, gave me tough advice and threats that humbled me. Muthoni, you are not a pastor, neither a counsellor, but you performed beyond, darling... Rare woman, rare gem, kind-hearted—though full of threats—you were able to sell me fear. Thanks darling for being there for us all,” Betty had written at the time.

Muthoni, seemingly hurt by the apparent change of heart, went a step further and accused the MP of hypocrisy, referencing past incidents to drive her point home.

"Fair enough! Wacha niingie Mass and repent, but I’m coming for you right here at 9:00. You will never cross that red line, ata kwa wazazi wa your worst enemy… For those telling me oo, your brand ooo, I have none when you cross that red line!” she wrote.

Did Muthoni clash with Karen Nyamu?

Previously, Muthoni did not hold back after Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu appeared to taunt her by sharing photos alongside Waithaka wa Jane, Muthoni’s rumoured partner and popular Mugithi singer.

In a cheeky comeback, Muthoni posted a photo featuring her ex and baby daddy, Samidoh.

The photos showed her and Samidoh playfully engaging in a cops-and-robbers game.
