"Information is power you know sometimes we see the government trying to say something is working, but when you say it, it's like the people do not listen to you. When we go to them and tell them that this is real, like for instance, my own brother, I have not slept.
He has been in the hospital since February in Mwea, yesterday, SHA paid KSh 460,000. So, when I am asked if SHA is working, what will I say? It's working. Where will I have gotten the money? I would have gone to open groups in WhatsApp," he said.
Karangu said that the information people have is that the model isn't working, and it's hard to change that mindset.
"So we have the information, but we do not have the power to go to people in the grassroots and tell them to register. Kenyans love to listen to negativity. Once they are told it doesn't work, they listen to that," he shared.
His revelation has upset some social media users who brought up his funding methods for the less advantaged.

Kindiki stated that engaging with artistes was crucial since the entertainment industry is a multibillion-dollar business.
He also noted that such meetings help the government learn ways to support them better.
Karangu usually holds fundraisers for the less advantaged in hopes of paying their hospital bills.
Some asked him to stop the fundraisers if the government medical scheme could pay their hospital bills.
After his remarks went viral, he reiterated them via his social media pages.
Karangu wrote:
"Dear Kenyans...aki before God, SHA paid KSh 460,000 for my brother who was in ICU... today after transferring him last night to a different facility, it has approved 151k..please register. I love you all."
