Why did lady dump her boyfriend?
The emotional screenshots, which surfaced on social media, captured the very moment the woman ended their relationship, not due to infidelity or conflict, but because of financial instability.
The conversation began with the girlfriend abruptly stating:
“I need a break from this relationship,” instantly sending the man into panic.
Desperate to understand, he pleaded for clarity, only to be met with a blunt explanation.
“I just want to give you time so that you can become financially stable then we can continue,” she texted.
Despite admitting he had not yet reached financial security, the man passionately defended his efforts.
“I am trying babe,” he wrote, hoping she would understand his journey and stand by him.
However, her stance only grew colder.
“Tafuta pesa kwanza, then unitafute. I am still young, let me enjoy,” she responded, a line that has since sparked heated debate online.
The heartbreak deepened when the man brought up their child, reminding her of their responsibilities.
“What about the baby? We had already spoken about this, I do not want to be a single father.”
Her response cut even deeper.
“Take them home. I even regret why I bore a child for you and you do not have money.”
The man then went on the offense, accusing her of abandoning him for a wealthier, older man she may have met at a club, suggesting that a friend might have influenced her decision.
“Is this because you found an older man in the club who has money and now you feel like I am not worth it? I blame your friend.”
Her only reply was a threat to block him and a final warning not to drag her friend into it.
His parting message?
“Walahi utaregret.”
The rawness and vulnerability in the chats have moved many Kenyans online, who have rallied behind the man.
Social media users flooded the comments with messages of encouragement, telling him not to give up and assuring him he deserved someone who valued love over money. Others made humour of the situation.

Man leaks chats of lady borrowing money
In similar news, a Kenyan man shared WhatsApp messages where a woman requested KSh 2,000 to handle an emergency.
The man declined, explaining it was too soon for her to ask for money since they had just started seeing each other.
He emphasised that he preferred to spend on a woman only after understanding her true intentions.
