The government's principal revenue collector announced the job vacancies on its website and set June deadlines for candidates to present their Curriculum Vitae and other academic certificates.
"KRA is seeking to recruit results-oriented, self-driven, dynamic, and experienced individuals with high integrity to fill the following vacant positions. Submit applications by June 2," it stated on MyGov.
Which jobs did KRA advertise?
1. Manager, domestic taxes
The jobholder will be responsible for managing and ensuring the successful implementation of projects concerning domestic taxes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, Information Technology, computing, engineering or business.
- At least five years of experience, with two years as an assistant manager.
2. Manager, revenue assistance and fraud
The jobholder will maintain the integrity of tax processes, enhance revenue assurance strategies, ensure tax policy compliance, and reduce revenue leakages using advanced analytics.
Requirements:
- At least five years of experience, with two years as an assistant manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, Artificial Intelligence, finance, accounting or economics.

3. Manager -vulnerability management & investigation support
The jobholder will be tasked with developing and executing strategies to effectively manage technical vulnerabilities in the authority’s business systems and IT infrastructure.
Requirements:
- A candidate must have a bachelor's degree in computer Science, IT or business information technology.
- At least five years of experience, with two years as an assistant manager.
4. Assistant Manager - large & medium taxpayers (LMT) and micro & small taxpayers (MST) projects
The person will oversee the effective planning, implementation, monitoring, and completion of projects designed to enhance taxpayer engagement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business management, or a related field.
- Four years of relevant work experience, one of which must be at a supervisory level.
5. Assistant manager, service desk
The jobholder shall be responsible for managing shared services, central planning and ensuring service request fulfilment.
Requirements:
- Four years of relevant work experience, one of which must be at a supervisory level.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, ICT, business IT, Computer Forensics or intelligence management.
