What professionals should do in interviews

Simon Ingari, a career development associate with OYK CV Writing & Interview Coaching Services, advised candidates to practice public speaking to boost their confidence during interviews.

He reiterated that confident applicants would emphasise their accomplishments and impress interviewers.

"Work on your confidence before entering an interview room. This will improve your ability to defend your arguments and provide thoughtful answers to questions," Ingari told TUKO.co.ke.

He asked candidates to arrive at the interview venue at least 30 minutes before the interview starts and to be polite to everyone.

"If you receive a job interview invitation, get there early. Greet everyone with courtesy at the gate's entrance or the reception," he added.
