Which positions did AG's Office advertise?
The AG's Office advertised 10 positions for clerical officers, 10 vacancies for accountants and two open posts for public communication officers.
In an advert posted on its website, the State Law Office asked suitable candidates to submit their applications online through its respective email.
"Candidates who meet the requirements are requested to make their applications by filling out the application for employment form OAG&DOJ. FORM 1A is available on the OAG & DOJ website. Applications should be scanned (PDF) and emailed to: [email protected] or sent to the solicitor general on or before May 16, 2025 to be received by 5.00pm," it stated.
Successful applicants will be offered permanent and pensionable terms.
What are the requirements for clerical officers?
An officer at this level will be deployed to several sections, including human resource management, general registry, supply chain management, accounts or general administrative services.
For an appointment, candidates must:
- Have a Kenya Certificate Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C-.
- Have a certificate in computer application skills from a recognised institution.

What are the requirements for accountants?
The work will entail primary data entry, balancing cashbooks, imprest, and advances ledgers, as well as the compilation and verification of vouchers in compliance with established norms and regulations.
Requirements:
- A pass in part II of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Examination or its recognised equivalent qualifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce (accounting or finance option), business administration (accounting option).
What are the requirements for public communication officers?
They will create information on current events to post on institutional websites and in Information Education Communication (IEC) resources.
The candidate must:
- Have a bachelor's degree in mass communications, public relations, communication studies or media studies/science.
- Postgraduate diploma in mass communications, public relations, communication studies or media studies/science.
- Certificate in computer skills.
