The beer brand improved from the fifth position in the 2024 Brand Finance rankings.

Brand Finance attributed the growth to a rebound in consumer spending, favourable market conditions, and the reopening of the hospitality sector.

The report also cited the growing economy and increasing urbanisation in the country, driving demand for the products.

Tusker Marketing Manager, Christine Kariuki, said the recognition underpins the brand’s ethos: to be more than just a beer, but an emblem of Kenyans’ connections.

“For over a century, Tusker has remained synonymous with Kenya. Standing tall with its people. The unrelenting spirit of resilience, celebrating the rich cultural heritage and national pride of Kenyans remains at the core of Tusker.
The recognition is a recognition that is not only meaningful to us at KBL but also one that speaks to the everyday moments in which consumers choose Tusker to raise a toast, celebrate and spread cheer,” said Kariuki.

Kariuki underscored the resilient nature of Kenyans, who are central to the brand that the recognition exemplifies.

She attributed the success of the Tusker brand to the staff and the team that laid the foundation.

“This recognition is for the amazing team behind Tusker; from the hardworking team that brews, markets and delivers Tusker to our trade customers and partners as well as our consumers across the country, and the generations of Kenyans who see Tusker not just as a beer, but an iconic brand that exemplifies the resilient Kenyan spirit.
"The success of the brand today is built on the foundation laid by those before us. We are proud to stand on the shoulders of giants,” she added.
