Held during Eid al-Adha in the heart of Mathare slum, the initiative turned mobile game engagement into direct support for children and families.

The event, hosted at a local public school, included a traditional halal ritual for preparing two sheep. More than 4,000 needy students in 18 schools in Nairobi will benefit from PUBGM Eid Relief Drops.

PUBG Mobile-themed trays, music, interactive games, and handwritten thank-you cards created a festive, heartfelt atmosphere rarely seen in this part of the city.

The company announced donation of 110 kg of mutton to 18 schools as lunch, with an aim to benefit more than 4,000 students.

What to know about the campaign

The campaign, themed PUBG Mobile and children happy holiday, has drawn praise for bridging the gap between digital entertainment and real-life empathy.

Through this initiative, PUBG Mobile continues its commitment to social impact in Africa, proving that even in the most unexpected places, mobile gaming can create meaningful change.

PUBG Mobile is based on PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, the phenomenon that took the world of interactive entertainment by storm in 2017. Up to 100 players parachute onto a remote island to battle in a winner-takes-all showdown.

Players must locate and scavenge their weapons, vehicles, and supplies, and defeat every player in a visually and tactically rich battleground that forces players into a shrinking play zone.

PUBG Mobile is co-developed by Lightspeed Studios of Tencent Games and Krafton, Inc.
